Foam echo-sclerosis (Tromboject) is an advanced technique used to treat diseased veins that are often deep and invisible to the naked eye.
Under the direct and precise control of an ultrasound machine, the physician injects a sclerosing foam directly into the affected vein. This foam causes a reaction in the vein wall, closing it upon itself. The treatment of large varicose veins by this method is painless, the sensation being comparable to a simple blood draw.
We never use iodine, which guarantees a much more comfortable procedure for our patients. No anesthesia is required.
